Yellow Marsh Marigold

Yellow Marsh Marigold
Caltha palustris
Ahhh,  one of the first signs that spring has sprung.  The bright yellow flowers are sure to brighten up a walk through a wet woodlands on an early spring day.

Of course it's 24 degrees out this morning, 15 degrees below normal.  The record low was 20 degrees in 1907.  So, there may not be any blooming marigolds to be seen this morning.  Give it a week or two.
