Ditch Stonecrop

Ditch Stonecrop
Penthorum sedoides
This is a plant of wet places, pond edges, floodplains, swales, river shores, and even ditches. It's a fairly common plant in wet areas, but not very noticeable. You've probably seen it, but didn't take note of it.

This might be a good one to note, however, since the leaves are edible, either as a rather peppery raw salad ingredient, or as a potherb.

Yellowish-green flowers grow in one-sided racemes
