Bristly Buttercup

Bristly Buttercup
Ranunculus hispidus
I went out this morning shooting flowers and was stung by a bee, swarmed by mosquitoes, walked through a patch of nettles, brushed up against some poison ivy and backed into a honeysuckle tree.  Indiana is dangerous in the summer!  I hope the pictures turned out ok!

This buttercup can be a bit confusing because some folks consider it the same as the Swamp Buttercup (Ranunculus septentrionalis) and some don't.  The difference is that one is hairier than the other and one is found in wetter areas than the other.  The Plants Database consider them to be one species.

Many of the leaves have three leaflets divided into three lobes
