Starry False Lily of the Valley

Starry False Lily of the Valley
Maianthemum stellatum

There are two Maianthemum species in Indiana that look similar, this one and Feathery False Lily of the Valley (Maianthem racemosum).  The easiest way to tell the difference is to look at the flowerhead, which is unbranched in this species but branched in the Feathery species.

The plants are generally smaller than Maianthem racemosum
