Flowers - Corolla lavender to purple, with tube to 2cm long, glabrous. Corolla lobes 5, spreading, spatulate to obovate, to 2cm long, 1cm wide. Stamens 5, unequal in corolla tube. Calyx tube to 3mm long, densely pubescent to glabrous. Calyx lobes 5, to +3mm long.

So, which one do you prefer?
Wild Blue Phlox is a very common plant in woodlands in northeast Indiana in the spring and early summer. It really brightens up a woods. I thought I'd find more poems about it online, but I came across one website that had suggestions for flowers to use in poems, especially love poems, and it warned against using phlox in a poem. I'm not sure why.
