Bishop's Goutweed

So how does a plant get a name like Bishop's Goutweed? I can see "Goutweed" since it was used in the past to make a poultice for gout, although in that case it should have been named "Goutwort". :-) I'm not sure why it's special for bishops. Given the placement of the apostrophe, it would suggest that it's a plant attributed to a guy named Bishop, although I'm not sure who that would be. If you know, please comment on this page.
Bishop's Goutweed is medicinal, edible, pretty, invasive and difficult to eradicate. I've found that people love it for the good things and hate it for the bad things. It arouses a lot of emotion in people ... it's an emotional plant!
