I remember as a teenager someone telling me that you could eat the seeds of Jimsonweed and it would give you great hallucinations, in fact the Native Americans used it in their spiritual ceremonies to "commune with the deities through visions".  It's a good thing that I didn't have the guts to try it because a little too much will kill you.  I looked it up online and read some descriptions of the "trip" produced by eating the seeds and it didn't sound like any of them enjoyed it.  Guess I'll stick with beer. :-)
