Pointedleaf Ticktrefoil Desmodium glutinosum |
Pseudo-whorl ... yet another new botanical term. There are a lot of species of Ticktrefoil and they all have alternate leaves. When I shot this plant, I noted that it was a whorl of leaves, but painstaking internet research revealed to me that they are actually a pseudo-whorl. They are alternate leaves, but right on top of each other so it looks whorled.
