Yellow Sweetclover

Yellow Sweetclover
Melilotus officinalis
Yellow Sweetclover is a very common hardy plant of roadsides and "waste" places.  What exactly is a "waste" place?

This is one of those plants that was planted widely by agriculturalists to improve the land, but then became a problem.  It has been very successful and can be found just about anywhere in the U.S.

It comes in white or yellow.  Sometimes they are considered separate species, but for today we'll just call it one.

It can be rather invasive in "waste" places
